SBS 2008  Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007 and gmail email not received
Hello My name is Cyril and I have a peculiar problem and it seems to be with different users on my network. We have a sbs2008 server with exchange 2007 and some office 2007 and 2010 users. For some reason when someone sends mail from gmail accounts our users do not get in their mail boxes. I am using pop connector to pull mail from our ISP and the mail comes in to the ISP and exchange pulls the mail but does not go into the mail boxes. When i have a look at the exchange mail tracker i do not even see it comes in to that user. But at times the same user receives gmail email please enplane where to start.

I would 1st start by enabling logging and check the logs when you next have the issues. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997690.aspxSukh

Not sure if I understand to you correctly. THE SBS 2007 POP3 Connector is not known to be selective as to what type of mail it downloads. Of course the connector forwards the mail with SMTP to your user's mailboxes, and mail could be intercepted on its way there. But the most likely reason is that the mail from Gmail is not coming through to your ISP. You could disable the POP3 Connector for one user, send some test mail from Gmail to that account at your ISP and access it with a web browser or an POP3/IMAP4 client.MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M

Hi Cyrilj, For this issue, maybe you can get better response in this forum: SBS forum http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/sbsserver From your description, I believe this may not issue on the Exchange Server, I suggest you follow Jon’s suggestion to test for this issue. Maybe you also can follow this document to confirm this may not issue on POP3 connector. How to enable Verbose logging in the Windows SBS 2008 POP3 Connector http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958798 Thanks, Evan Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
